One of the key components of our installation process is the use of Sika Mach 30XV urethane, a high-quality adhesive that provides a strong bond between the glass and the vehicle frame. This urethane has a 30-minute minimum safe drive-away time, meaning that once the installation is complete, the vehicle must remain stationary for at least 30 minutes before it is safe to drive. This waiting period ensures that the adhesive has begun to cure properly, providing the necessary structural integrity and safety required for the windshield or glass to perform as expected.
While our goal is always to complete installations efficiently, safety remains our top priority. Weather conditions, particularly heavy rain, can sometimes impact the curing process of the urethane.
